Über baroque pop
Barock-Pop ist ein Fusion-Genre, das Rockmusik mit bestimmten Elementen der klassischen Musik verbindet. Es entstand Mitte der 1960er Jahre, als Künstler einen majestätischen, orchestralen Klang anstrebten, und ist an der Aneignung barocker Kompositionsstile und dramatischer oder melancholischer Gesten zu erkennen. Cembalos spielen eine herausragende Rolle, aber auch Oboen, Waldhörner und Streichquartette sind häufig zu hören.
